With more than 15 years as a private equity investor, Kevin Roberts is responsible for the firm’s new investment opportunities as well as assisting portfolio companies with the implementation and execution of value creation strategies. Although Fidelitas Capital pursues a generalist investment strategy, Kevin tends to focus on opportunities in industry sectors where he has accumulated significant experience, including aerospace, communications infrastructure services, business services, industrial services, manufacturing and value-added distribution.
During the span of his career, Kevin has led or participated in teams that have made 39 equity investments in transactions representing aggregate enterprise value of $770 million. For most of his career, Kevin has pursued buyout and recapitalization investment strategies, but he also has experience with growth equity investing from early in his career. Previously, Kevin has been with firms including Hunt Capital Group, Trinity Hunt Partners and Cotton Creek Capital, and he has served on the Boards of Directors of Graco Supply & Integrated Services, Tri-State Alarm and Waste Partners Environmental. Kevin started his career as an investment banker with the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of a predecessor to Bank of America.
Raised in a small farming community in northwestern Oklahoma, Kevin graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics with Honors, and he was later the recipient of an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, where his studies focused on Finance and Entrepreneurial Management. Kevin and his family reside in Dallas, Texas, where they are members of Watermark Community Church and volunteers in the church’s pre-married ministry. In addition, Kevin serves on the Boards of Directors of The Root Cause and Metro Collegiate Ministries International. In his leisure time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his growing family, but he still tries to make time for running, rowing, wilderness backpacking, snow skiing and adventure travel.
